both the R32 and R33 5spds show the same gear ratios according to a quick google hunt.
This raises an interesting question... Do these two generations of GTR's have this problem?? There are certainly more people with extremely high rwhp GTR's than there are Z32's. Perhaps their gears are stronger, or the community has found a way to overcome this. Until the exact weakness is determined, I would be hesitant to make changes on faith. Eishozzz is sending me his broken diff output shaft so that i can inspect the failure. I'm a little rusty at failure analysis, but have some friends from school that do it for the big 3. If possible, I would love to get my hand on a broken tranny shaft/gear to do a similar analysis. Its possible a stress riser or an improper treatment is to blame.
